Christian Dating Rules
If you are not a Christian, but are interested in somebody who is, there are going to be a few new rules that you should follow to ensure you get more than one date, and can build a lasting relationship.
First, Christian Dating Rules are much more specific than general rules of dating. There are some Bible verses that are directed towards relationships which many Christians strictly adhere to. One verse says "You shall not be yoked with an unbeliever." This does not mean that they cannot date or marry someone who is not a Christian, but it's a warning to protect the Christian from being drawn away from their faith. There is another verse that says if a Christian marries an unbeliever, God still honors their decision.

To put it more bluntly, if you want this person to be part of your long term future, you should expect to make Christianity a part of your life. You may or may not choose to believe in it, but you should expect to go to church and other church events on a regular basis, or be invited to a prayer group.
No Sex Until Marriage
Another rule to keep in mind will disappoint a lot of horny guys, but according to the Bible, the marriage bed shall be kept pure, and sex should not occur until the couple is bound in marriage. This is probably the most important rule for dating Christians, especially in the "free love" society that we live in today. If you are not a Christian and you can keep pure, just to honor the beliefs of the person you are dating, you won't even be able to measure the amount of respect you will gain from them. Abstaining from sex until married shows a great deal off commitment, and Christians want a quality relationship, not a quantity of relationships. After married, remember, one man and one woman... Quality, not quantity!
Multiple studies over time have shown that married Christians in monogamous relationships have more sex, better sex, and experience much more satisfaction with sex, and the relationship in general than any other category or group out there. You may be ripping your hair out, thinking that you have to hold out until marriage, (especially when you see how good she looks in that new swim suit), but statistics show that good things truly come to those who wait.
Read Your Bible
One more rule to keep in mind; you might want to do some Bible research before you actually go on a date. You don't have to study and know the Bible, but just reading some of it will be a good start. You can read a little bit and get yourself totally confused, and this will be a good thing. Doing this will give you some questions to use during your first date conversation. It's a good way to break the ice on the religious talk and show that you are interested to know more about something that is the most important part of a persons life. "I just read this and have no idea what it means, can you help explain that?"
Finally, you have to remember that Christians should Love God and Jesus more than any person. This is not a knock on you and this doesn't mean that Christians don't love their kids. This means they are to lead lives overflowing with love. Just keep in mind that God let His son Jesus die on the cross so we don't have to experience eternity in Hell. That is a good reason to love Him a lot.
